For a recent event at Barneys in Manhattan, she put a twist on the bright pants trend by donning a pair of eye-catching orange shorts, and if you're a mom with great gams, you could totally rock this look this spring and summer.
Just be sure that your top isn't too clingy -- otherwise, it could look like you're showing off a little too much.
I think Christina gets the look just right with a boxy top to counter all the leg she's showing. Platform wedge sandals keep things on the dressy side.

If you like bright shorts and you're not on a shoestring budget, I recommend that you check out J.Crew. They've got lots of shorts lengths to choose from -- these chino shorts (J.Crew, $45) are the shortest option -- and lots of colors, as well.
I'm also liking these Riley denim shorts (Lucky Brand, $69.50).
I never, ever order shorts online (or pants for that matter), because I need to know how they're going to fit in the crotch before I buy them. Too much can go wrong there for me to trust a photo on my computer!
However, I can't wait to go to the mall and try on a few pairs -- If I can find a good fit, I'd love this look for summer.

Beautiful, It's all about the balance, short shorts-neutral shape and color top, I'd wear it if I had those legs. And you can use flats with an ensemble like this too.
On a side note, those bangs with a blunt cut are the best thing that ever happened to Christina Ricci's head.
They look cute on her but I'm afraid if I wore such a bright color my big ass would look even bigger!!
I order shorts online all the time because stores never carry enought variety in petite sizes. The last time I bought any was 2 years ago and I just about bought out Eddie Bauer - every color of one particular style they had! Unfortunately last year only one pair fit me (a larger size I kept when I ordered down), but I tried the smaller size on the other day and THEY FIT! Woohoo!
