You can't really say you're a Hollywood A-list mommy these days unless you've appeared knocked up and nude on the cover of a magazine.

Therefore, it shouldn't be all that shocking that Jessica Simpson is the latest celeb to bare her belly (and so much more) on the cover of Elle.

I love Jess, but I'm getting a little tired of this particular Hollywood tradition.

I mean, it was certainly provocative when Demi Moore did it all those years ago, but now when I see copycat covers, all I think is, "Again?" And that's not exactly what you want to come to mind when people see a shot of you pregnant and naked, is it?

I'm not offended by these shots, but there are lots of other ways to be pregnant and provocative. Let's get creative, ladies! How about a pregnant-with-farm-animals magazine cover? Or a pregnant-in-a-clown-costume cover? Brainstorm a little next time before going the Demi route!
