Angelina Jolie has always come off as a tough cookie, a woman who really could care less if the whole country was snickering about her right leg for over a week now. Sources say surprise, surprise -- that's a complete facade. She's actually "horrified" about how she -- and her leg, of course -- came off on the Oscars red carpet, according to British magazine Closer. But is she shouldering the blame for that sky-high slit? Hell no, she's blaming her stylist!
The Closer source reveals, "She pays her stylist Jen a lot of money to pick things that will make her look drop-dead gorgeous, but she felt the dress swallowed her up and she had to stick her leg or it looked like she was wearing a bin bag. Now she's being laughed at when she's worked so hard on her look. She feels like a joke and is worried her reputation may have taken a hit." Oh good GRIEF! If this is true, someone (hey, Jen Aniston, you game?) really needs to knock Angie down a peg -- or 100!
To be honest, I don't want to point the finger at Angie alone. What is with these stars who think they can just wait until the last minute to pick a gown for the biggest event of the year (just watch Rachel Zoe's show and you know that it happens every time!) and sling mud at their hard-working, crazed, likely underpaid-for-the-crap-they-put-up-with stylists? It's silly -- style is so personal. Sure, you can pay someone to help you, to pull beautiful gowns and offer you options, but ultimately, even the creme de la creme of Hollywood stars needs to use her brain to make sure the dress she chooses is the one.
Which leads me to this: If Angie really had "worked on her look," she would have taken an active role in choosing her dress. If she had given it the test-drive an Oscar gown deserves before making its grand appearance, she would have realized it was a taunting Twitter trend in the making. Duh. I mean, I know she's a busy mom to six kids, a UN ambassador, Brad Pitt's lover, and an actress-turned-director, but the woman could have and should have found it in her schedule to try on her Oscar dress. That's all I'm sayin'.

Do you agree that it's wrong for Angie to blame her stylist?
