Victoria Beckham Is Too Posh for Ugg Boots (VIDEO)

victoria beckhamHow great would it be if Victoria Beckham decided to go out on a limb and ditch her mile-high heels and dresses for a pair of yoga pants and Ugg boots? Moms everywhere would probably stand up and cheer over the fact that even someone as "posh" as Victoria falls into the mom-frump trap once in a while.

Unfortunately, she's way too big of a style icon to let something like that happen, so it looks like we'll just have to settle for feeling a bit inferior to her as far as style goes. She did recently admit that she owns both Ugg boots and "tracksuits" (I'm assuming she's referring to her gym attire), but she also said she refuses to wear either one of those things outside the walls of her home. Oh, please (eye roll). Is she really too proud to be comfortable once in a while?

fI mean -- I can kind of understand not wanting to run around in workout gear, because it has the potential to look pretty blah. But are Uggs really considered a fashion faux-pas? If they are, then plenty of moms can be labeled as offenders -- myself included. I don't think there is one mom I'm friends with who doesn't own a pair of Uggs. Of course, I live in New England, where we pretty much live in them all winter, but they are very popular in other areas of the country too.

Aside from being incredibly comfortable and keeping your toes cozy warm, Uggs also look reasonably stylish and cute when paired with leggings or a pair of skinny jeans. Or at least I think they do. Then again, I'm no Victoria Beckham when it comes to fashion.

Honestly, Victoria should really consider giving Uggs a second chance. She'd look just as trendy and stylish in them as she does in her heels, and she wouldn't have to worry about falling over. And just take a look at this video of her out and about with her family. Don't her poor feet look like they could use a break?

Do you live in your Uggs, or are you embarrassed by them?

I don't own UGGS. They are ugly.

If I was VB, I would always be sure to look my best as well.  People are always watching her.

Meh. I love my UGGs. There's a time and place for everything though. I'm not wearing them out to dinner or anything.

I'm a new englander too but I do not own uggs and I have no intention of ever buying a pair. If its cold enough to need them then there's likely a whole lot of snow on the ground so I wear my snow boots which are less ugly (still far from fashionable but they are less clunky and plain black) and more practical. I've seen a few moms wearing them at school but they're far from common. Virtually every pair I see is on the feet of a teenage slob wearing them with yoga pants, a fleece or HS sports jacket, and a messy ponytail.

The last person on earth I would take fashion advice from is you Rhonda....just sayin.

I love my Uggs and I think they loos cute with a pair of skinny jeans or leggings. You have to know how to work them into a wardrobe to not look like a slob, and that's not exactly hard. I think Victoria is comfortable in heels and I can relate. I wear heels everyday to work and my feet don't hurt. I'm used to it. I commend her for refusing to leave the house looking like a slob and I wish more people practiced that phylosiphy.

That woman definitely doesn't have to worry about falling over. She is a pro in high heels! And I think Uggs are soooooooo very ugly. Plenty of cuter boots out there to bum around in. I found some awesome ones years ago at Aldo that are made of the same material as uggs and are just a comfy but a lot cuter.

But I do agree with sweetcherry that not everyone looks like a slob in them and there are ways to make them cute. All my friends have them and do look cute in them, they just arent my style.

I do own a pair but don't live in them.

No. Uggs never look cute. They are sooo ugly in my opinion whether they're matched with a denim mini skirt mid December(asshatness) or with skinny jeans. They look cheap and lazy and the homeless guy who stands outside of Walmart wears them.

There's nothing wrong with wearing heels all the time if it doesn't hurt your feet. Go VB!

My husband hates the look of them, so I don't own a pair. I think they are cute though. I would much rather walk around in those then those high heels all the time. Much more comfy! lol :)

I love Uggs. I own six pairs. I've never worn them with sweatpants, just jeggings or skinny jeans.
