Only four days left until the 2012 Oscar Awards and I'm so stoked! Yeah yeah, the whole giving out the awards thing is cool and that host Billy Crystal, well, he's pretty funny -- but personally I'm a tad more amped for the red carpet. Hellooo! Who doesn't love to channel their inner Joan Rivers and take a swing at some of Hollywood's biggest celebs fashion faux pas? Pick me? Kthanks.
We all know that the Academy Awards are one of Hollywood's biggest glam events. According to Splash, some of the best dressed from over the years included Hilary Swank (loved it), Penelope Cruz (felt like I was watching a wedding), Halle Berry (ADORE), and Jennifer Garner (meh) among others.
Sure, their picks were good -- but I have a few others to add to the best dressed list myself.
Check out Twilight star Kristen Stewart at the 2010 Vanity Fair Oscar Party. That Monique Lhuillier dress just screams va va voom, hugging her body in all of the right places. I love the deep color and how she opted for a bare neckline. Hands down, this gown's a whole lot better than Bella's wedding dress, don't you think?
One word: classic. Just look how stunning Julia Roberts looked back at the 2001 Academy Awards wearing a vintage Valentino gown. If I were her, I'd be beaming too knowing I was looking dayum good while toting around the award for Best Actress for her role in Erin Brockovich.
I think the lavender chiffon gown from Elie Saab Haute Couture that Mila Kunis wore in 2011 was absolutely amazing. Literally, one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen on the red carpet. That neckline and the layering of the lace ... UGH! I die. If someone wanted to make me a look-alike, I wouldn't be opposed.
Do you have a favorite dress from the Academy Awards of years past? Who are you looking forward to seeing this year?
