Did you happen to catch a glimpse of Kate Upton's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover yet? Because she looks absolutely ridiculous. That is, ridiculous in the sense that her stomach is flatter than a pancake and there isn't one ounce of flab or cellulite on her body. And don't get me started on the fact that the bikini she's wearing doesn't even really qualify as a swimsuit.

While Kate's amazing figure is definitely enviable, most gals would agree that it's a lot more feasible to have a body like that when you are only 19 years old versus when you are in the whole "mom" phase of your life. Kate's young age makes it easier for us to glance at the cover, do a major eye roll, and tell ourselves that we looked that good too before stretch-marks and saggy boobs took over.

But there may be an even better reason for us not to let Kate's perfect bod faze us in the slightest: There's a chance the cover may have been photoshopped.

Take a good look at Kate's cover pic, and then compare it to this real-life shot of her walking the runway.

 

In the runway photo, Kate appears fuller in her mid-section and her breasts look a bit larger, which is kind of weird. You'd think that SI would have pumped them up more instead of sizing them down, right? While we can't say for sure, it definitely appears as though the SI cover photo has been retouched.

And if it has, moms everywhere can breathe a huge sigh of relief. It's a whole lot easier to feel good about our own bodies and accept ourselves for who we are when we know that even 19-year-old models can't pull off looking flawless in a bikini without a little help. If they aren't expected to be perfect, there's really no good reason why we should have to be either.
