The new Lady Dior Handbag ad for Spring, featuring Marion Cotillard, has me excited.
Not only is she wearing a very 'black cherry'-ish lipstick shade like the one I mentioned yesterday, but she's also sporting black nail polish.
C'est tres chic, non?
Click through and I'll tell you where you can get your own bottle!
Marion is undoubtedly wearing Dior Vernis Nail Lacquer in Black Ink:
You can order your own bottle for $22 from Saks Fifth Avenue ...
Or you can get a bottle of Sally Hansen black nail polish from Drugstore.com for $2.82. It's your choice.
Regardless, I love the strong, bold colors I'm seeing in the spring makeup ads. They're a nice switch from the usual pastels we're forced into every time the weather gets warmer. I've been in a fashion slump this fall and winter with what I thought was a very boring season of trends, and I'm definitely ready for something different.
How about you?

I think the whole, black/dark polish thing was a trend a few years back. All the celebs were doing it. I don't like it for spring or summer, it's too harsh.
I'm currently sporting a black mani (a shellac mani I got two weeks ago - one chip so far. can I say how much I love this?). I'm not a fan of the super-light nail colours, I feel like if I'm going to make the effort to get a manicure - either doing it myself or paying for it - I want it to be noticeable. And I tend to wear a ton of black too, so black is a good colour choice for me.
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear is extremely thin and takes multiple coats to get good coverage. Ick, bad suggestion for a cheaper version. Even Wet N Wild nail polish covers better than that stuff.
I don't mind super dark colors, but I don't like them for spring.
They are ok but I don't like them. I prefer browns in the winter then going that dark. :)
I don't wear nail polish and I am not really a fan of black nail polish
I might try it
I love dark colored nail polishes.
