Selena Gomez is emerging as a true fashion icon, and she's really begun taking some risks with her wardrobe.

Case in point?

These House of Holland chain suspender tights.

They're certainly daring, but do they make her look edgy and fashionable or ... kinda trashy?

One thing I like about these tights is that you can score a pair for yourself at Urban Outfitters!

Urban Outfitters Check them out. They're $28 which is high for tights, obvs, but to glam up a simple black skirt or dress on a date night, $28 isn't so bad, right?

The more I looked at these tights, the more I liked them. I think the fact that there are obviously tights beneath the suspenders keeps them from crossing over into trashy. I mean, I wouldn't advise wearing them to work (or anywhere else in the daytime unless you're 21 and rail thin), but for a fun night out at one of Nashville's music hotspots? Well, I'll be honest.

I totally just bought a pair.

Don't hate.

So what do you think of these tights? Should Selena be wearing them? In Paris of all places? And what do you make of that old guy tongue kissing her hair? Weird, right?

These are the questions that plague us all.

these kind of tights are nothing new.I wouldnt call her a trend setter.

She is too young to be wearing those and yes she looks trashy i have seen some very bad pics of her and that justin dude she will be pregnant soon give her a few months lol where is the mom and dad they need to have a talk with her i feel she is trying to look older very trashy girl.

Ok I laughed through your whole article!

I think they would trashy for a 51 year old woman such as I but for a 19 year old with nice legs I think they're ok. I don't know if she's a trend setter because everyone that age eventually looks like they shop at the same two stores.

I like Selena Gomez and think she dresses well.

Some of you need to relax. She's 19 and has millions of dollars. She can do whatever she wants. Even if she did get pregnant, she could afford to because, uh, she has millions of dollars.

The tights aren't exciting or new. They're black.

@jaxmadre You can get a clear coat for your hair that will make it shiny so it looks like you just left the salon without changing your actual hair color.

I love the tights and if it wasn't so freaking cold here I would totally rock them.

she makes them work. and combined w/ the rest of the outfit which is rather conservative it works. had she wore a more reveling dress it would have looked trashy, as is it does not
