There always seems to be at least one outlandish dresser at work. You know, the one who wears hideous sweaters with seriously mismatching jeans, or bright purple stockings with an orange corduroy skirt. But I bet the fashion eccentrics at your office have nothing on 30-year-old Jo Edwards, who wore a replica of Lady Gaga's raw meat dress to the office.

"I don’t know what my colleagues thought of me turning up to work in the meat dress," said Edwards. "I will probably not hear the end of this for a while but who cares."

Just wait until you hear why she decided to channel her inner Mother Monster:

Edwards boldly wore the dress for the day -- even on her subway commute (yuk!) -- for MTV's "What Would You Do for Music?" contest. And lucky for her, it paid off! As a winner, she'll be attending the 2011 MTV European Music Awards, hosted by Selena Gomez. It's a prize that was even worth having a hungry dog pester her for, hoping to get a scrap.

Generally, of course, work clothes are just a tad bit more conservative. Something tells me that Edwards' office is pretty accepting of wild, push-the-envelope styles (she is a fashion designer, so it makes sense). Seriously, though, can you imagine one of your co-workers coming in wearing a revealing dress made of slabs of raw meat? Not only does it look risqué (hello, slit!), but it reeks to high heaven! What would you have done if you had to sit next to Edwards, trying to cross things off your to-do list with the odor of rotten meat wafting in your direction -- all the while thinking you were also seeing a little too much of her? I cringe just thinking about it.

One thing is for sure: The meat outfit knockoff was spot-on. From the beefy shoes to that oh-so-revolting headpiece, the getup must have made Gaga herself proud.
