Major Retailers Opening at Midnight on Black Friday: Will You Shop?

Macy'sI shopped the Black Friday sales one time.

My mom and I left the house at 3:30 a.m. in order to make it to Walmart for its 4 a.m. opening.

The problem is that I'm not a morning person. All those people milling around made me cranky. And I was so fuzzy-headed, I couldn't get my shopping game on. I ended up with a $10 sewing machine that didn't even work.

That's why I'm totally psyched that a number of major retailers are opening at midnight on Black Friday morning.

Get up early to shop? No way. Stay up late? HECK YEAH.

Find out who's opening for overnight shopping after the jump!

The biggest announcements come first from Macy's, which just announced that it will open all of its stores at midnight on Black Friday.

Target will also open its doors at midnight. Both stores will remain open until 11 p.m. on Black Friday night.

Target and Macy's are the first to announce Black Friday hours, but we'll probably be getting more information in the next week or two.

Last year, though, Sears and Kmart opened on Thanksgiving Day. Toys R Us opened at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving night. And the biggest story was that many Internet retailers offered amazing deals on Black Friday as well -- I got a LOT of shopping (for, uh, myself) done on that day without even leaving the house!

This year, though, my husband and I are already talking about how fun it would be to let the kids stay up late and hit up Target and Macy's at midnight. I'm really hoping that midnight shopping becomes the new Black Friday trend.

What about you? Would you go shopping at midnight for great deals?
