Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals Her Number One Beauty Secret

gwyneth paltrowWe can all say what we want about Gwyneth Paltrow, but the woman is gorgeous. Her body is insane (thanks to all those Tracy Anderson Method workouts), and her skin and hair seem to have a permanent glow and shine to them. What is her damn secret?

Well, funny you should ask. The actress/singer/cookbook author/lifestyle-ist was just a guest on the Sirius XM Radio show, Ask Dr. Brandt, and she revealed what it is that keeps her looking Goop-y fresh all the time. Shockingly, it's not imported wheat grass that can only be found in The Shire between the days of May 12 to June 4.

Apparently, Gwyneth's biggest beauty secret is none other than: Sleep. Yes, Gwyneth actually does something that both you and I can do (for free). She said, "For me, sleep is a major thing. I don’t always get it, and when I don’t, I look like I’ve been hit by a truck.” (Sure, she does.) Other crucial beauty secrets Paltrow lives by include drinking lots of water (classic), taking vitamins “religiously,” and having at least one cup of coffee with almond milk each morning. She also drinks a glass of homemade green juice, consisting of kale and her favorite farmers' market goodies, daily, and eats a lean protein with veggies for lunch.

So, these are lovely "secrets" and all, and I don't deny for a minute that Gwyneth actually does them, it's just ... there has to be more. You don't look like a fresh-faced 32-year-old when you're pushing 40 without doing some other stuff.

Like, what about all the facials she gets and expensive potions she buys? What about the fact that she probably has stuff like massages and acupuncture weekly? What about all the professional makeup and hair jobs? And what about the fact that Gwyneth probably has zero stress in her life? Aren't those all major beauty secrets, as well?

I have a love-hate relationship with stars' "beauty secrets." I love them because I can't help but be curious as to what they're going to say/hopeful that one day it'll be something that will literally change my life (or skin) forever. And I hate them because, well, they're pretty much lies.

In order to look as dewy and fresh and silky as celebrities, we would need a whole team of people. And some really good lighting. Not just sleep. Although that can't hurt.

Do you buy into stars' "beauty secrets"?
