Paula Deen Is Selling Butter-Flavored Lip Balm: Would You Buy It?

Paula Deen's butter-flavored lip balm is the talk of the Internet right now.

For a while, photos of the lip balm were a suspected hoax, but Grub Street reports that the lip balm is indeed being sold for $1.99 in Paula Deen's Savannah shop, along with banana pudding-flavored lip balm and key lime-flavored lip balm.

Butter-flavored lip balm, obviously, is the most ... um ... avant-garde choice.

My question for you --

WOULD YOU BUY IT?

Something about butter-flavored lip balm disturbs me and makes me feel a little bit nauseated. I guess it's because cold, greasy lip balm is already uncomfortably akin to congealed butter. Add the butter flavoring and, really, what's the diff? EW.

But the squeamish factor went to eleven when I saw this photo:

Put a little South on your mouth?

SERIOUSLY?

I'm from the South and I'm offended!

WE DO NOT PUT BUTTER ON OUR LIPS TO CONDITION THEM, PEOPLE. FOR THE RECORD.

Sadly, Paula Deen isn't yet offering her butter-flavored lip balm at her online store, but with all the attention it's receiving, I'm sure it's only a matter of time!

Are you hoping to find some in your Christmas stocking?
