What to Wear to the White House

White House
The Stir head honcho Tracy Odell gets to live the dream this Monday and attend a meeting at the White House with none other than Michelle Obama herself!

And Now Tracy wants to know the same thing any woman would be wondering before coming face to face with the stylish Mrs. O:  What to wear?

I've got a few ideas after the jump!

I'm guessing Tracy doesn't have a whole lot of time to scour the stores for just the right outfit, so here are three easy-to achieve looks off the top of my head ... They'd work for any of you who need to dress to impress for a company dinner or upcoming job interview.

If you like what you see, click on the individual images for shopping information. And don't complain about the prices, ladies ... This is no time to hunt for bargains!

If you have no time to shop, you can't go wrong with an all-black look, which is very chic right now. Pair a structured blazer with wide-legged trousers and a black cami underneath and you're gold. Add a red skinny belt for a hint of color. For the White House, I like a more conservative pair of heels and your very best black bag.

If you have a little time and want FLOTUS to notice you (FLOTUS, NOTICE, get it?!) you might opt for a chi chi printed dress, like these two options from Diane Von Furstenberg. Mrs. Obama loves her some prints, and if you wear either one of these options, I bet she'll comment on it. Again, pair the dress with conservative heels, a bare leg, and a structured bag-- I like this Kate Spade version in red.

The third option that's both current and White House-appropriate is a bow blouse and pencil skirt. I like a sheer bow blouse with a same-color cami underneath, like the white blouse pictured at the right. They're sold everywhere right now and it's easy to find one that looks good on you. Wear it with a sharp black pencil skirt, nice heels and a nice bag, and you'll look mah-velous. I also saw several black bow blouses that I'm really liking- With one of those, a bright pencil skirt would look fantastic. I chose one in red, but any jewel tone would work. Again, add black heels and a black bag and you're White House-ready!

As for hosiery, you could either go bare legged (if you do, mix a little drugstore foundation with lotion and rub it on your legs for a flawless look) or wear black sheer hose. Perfection!

Good luck, Tracy! Say hi to Mrs. O for us!
