Hot Hats for Fall and Winter

Lea MicheleHats are hot again this fall, with cloches, fedoras, newsboy caps, and floppy-brimmed hats from the '70s making the strongest showings this season.

(Luckily, it looks like the Kate Middleton-inspired fascinators are already fizzling out.)

Rachel McAdams has been spotted sporting a cloche, Lea Michele (pictured to your left) and Miranda Kerr are favoring the floppy hat, and, well ... pretty much every celebrity out there wears a fedora on a regular basis.

New additions this fall include the bowler hat and the wide-brimmed fedora.

I love hats because they're a less expensive way to update your wardrobe, and there's a hat out there to suit just about anyone.

Also? They keep your head warm!

Hats
Nordstrom featured all of this season's most fashionable hats in its September catalog. Nordstrom's prices for women's hats are very competitive. Most hats are in the $30 range.

Macy'sGet Lea's look on a budget with this black floppy hat (Macy's, $42).

Diani BoutiqueIf you've got the money to spend, I love this Eugenia Kim wide-brimmed fedora (Diani Boutique, $140).

Lord & TaylorBut I continue to be craziest about the cloche. I love this Badgley Mischka cloche (Lord & Taylor, $29.40 on sale) in particular, which comes in lots of different colors.

AnthropologieI also love this Stamped Check Cloche (Anthropologie, $58), featured in Anthropologie's September catalog.

Are you a hat wearer? Which hat will you wear this fall?
