'Rachel Zoe Project' Recap: Jeremiah Kills It

The Rachel Zoe PrjoectFor all the he's-not-Brad misgivings I've had about Jeremiah Brent, he impressed big time on this week's episode of The Rachel Zoe Project. I still miss Brad, but at least Jeremiah's starting to demonstrate just what Rachel saw in him when she hired him, besides his good looks.

He was responsible for furnishing and decorating Rachel and Rodger's new 7,000-square-foot home, and time was tight -- like two weeks tight for the entire project. Then when it was time to move it all in, he had just 24 hours. Seeing him sitting there with just two lamps -- as amazing as they were -- it wasn't looking good. Joey Maalouf showing up to taunt him while slurping coffee loudly didn't help.

But Jeremiah showed that he actually has some balls when he got tough with the late moving companies, and he showed that he's got a fantastic work ethic. He worked through the night to get the job done, sleeping on the floor for just a few hours, while the rest of Rachel's team went home and slept. He could have used a few more balls in demanding they stay and help him, but at least he got it done.

Most of all he showed that he has impeccable taste and eye for just what Rachel likes. Her reaction to the mostly white abode was unabashed appreciation.

"’I'm losing my mind."

"This is the sickest."

"I literally cannot believe this is my house."

"Jeremiah killed it."

While he did good, he may have also killed his dreams of styling for Rachel -- what he really wants to do. Instead of this proving that he can do the job, Rachel and Rodger were so impressed, they think his calling is in home design. Poor Jeremiah.

I'm hoping Rachel goes back to her gut instinct upon hiring him and lets him style. What he did with that house was so impressive, I'd love to see what he can do with clothing. And he certainly earned the chance. Now if he'd only loosen up a little.

Speaking of loosening up, there was also Rodger's trip to Vegas, which barely bothers mentioning. For all of Rachel's angst about him going while she was stuck at home 8 1/2 months pregnant, it was a tame affair they tried to turn into some lame version of The Hangover, but it didn't really work. At least all of her bitching paid off and she got a Hermes gift out of the whole thing, even if it wasn't a Birkin.

What did you think of the design job Jeremiah Brent did on Rachel Zoe's home?
