Fit Into Your Fall Clothes With the Help of ... Drumsticks?! (VIDEO)

PoundIf you love fashion, chances are you also love fitting in your clothes!

I'm guessing that more than a few of you have a fitness regimen of choice, whether it's Jazzercise, Zumba, spinning, running, or the elliptical (waving a hand here!). Most of us like to change it up every now and then, and it seems like someone is always ready with the next big idea in fitness, from Tae-Bo to the 30-Day Shred.

Well now, two LA women are hoping they've found the newest fitness craze. It's called Pound. And you sort of have to see it to believe it.

Whoa.

Drumsticks?!

Whoa.

Those drumsticks are actually called 'ripstix' and they're specially weighted to give you an extra-intense workout. According to the site, the 'stix' "provide resistance to the upper body, back, core, and lower body, and get ripped while drumming like a rock star."

As for the workout itself:

Striking the ground and simulating drumming allows the participant to hear and see the body working symmetrically in form and exertion. This teaming of sound and motion is absent from all other workouts available today.

Pound's founders claim you can burn between 700 and 900 calories per workout. Sounds fun enough, but I'd feel a little silly drumming while working out. I guess I'd feel no sillier than I do during a Zumba class, though!

According to the site, Pound classes are set to start up in gyms across the country this winter. The site says that you can buy Ripstix and an instructional DVD and "Poundtrack" now, but I couldn't find it for sale anywhere, on the site or off.

What do you think of this workout? Would you sign up for a Pound class?
