Emma Watson has become an accomplished fashionista over the last few years, turning up on red carpets in designer gowns and starring in a series of Burberry ads.

But her latest commercial for Lancome's Tresor Midnight Rose perfume is raising eyebrows for all the wrong reasons.

Every cheesy cliche is employed throughout the 1:45 video (which was shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino) -- and cheesy cliches aren't exactly unusual for a perfume ad -- but the ending is so ridiculous that I may have gagged a little.

You just have to see it for yourself to believe it ...

That little hat flip at the end?

KILLS ME.

It took the cheese factor, which was wavering on the high end of acceptable, up to ELEVEN.

But you can't fault Emma for trying. Seriously, if Mario Testino told me a fedora that flips off some guy's head on to mine would look cool, I'd totally believe him!

Huffington Post snarks that "...Watson looks like a child playing dress-up with her crimson lips and slicked-back hair." Her look doesn't bother me, and I agree with commenters that say they're being a bit too harsh.

But the hat flip.
