Kate Middleton Is Odd Choice for Miracle 'Botox' Cream Testing

kate middleton lancomeLancome really knows how to attract a solid clientele. The smarties over at the major makeup company sent Kate Middleton, her sister Pippa, and Emma Watson their new high-demand Lancome Visionnaire serum, which promises to eradicate the need for Botox ... for free! Brilliant, isn't it? We all know the second Kate has something, we just have to have it too -- right?

It's most definitely a nice gesture. Everyone loves freebies (especially one that retails for $84!). But is it just me, or is Kate Middleton the last person in the world who needs Botox, never mind a product to replace it?

The cream, according to Lancome, is an advanced skin corrector for wrinkles, pores, and evenness -- none of which any of the younger celebrities they sent it to have a problem with. We would know, after all, because we see up-close-and-personal photos of them on the regular!

Why didn't Lancome send the product to Jennifer Aniston, Julianne Moore, or Angelina Jolie, all women in their 30s and 40s who are actually concerned with aging? It gives a bit of the wrong message, don't you think? If the company is suggesting that someone Kate's age should already be considering Botox, they're seriously mistaken! I'm in my mid-20s, and already some of my friends are thinking about getting Botox. It's crazy. Granted, I've never tried it. But the thought of injections anywhere around my eye area makes me nauseous, especially at an age where it's absolutely unnecessary.

Whether or not Kate Middleton actually uses this better-than-Botox cream, I'm sure tons of women will jump at the chance to try it instead of the injections, especially since it will save users a boatload of money. And I'm sure that's exactly what Lancome's goal was in sending her the samples. We'll just have to wait with bated breath to see if it actually works!

Are you going to pay $84 to try this cream?
