Man as FHM 'Sexiest Woman' Makes Sense

Only this year, instead of it just being lady models in bikinis, androgynous male model Andrej Pejic made it in at number 98. How could such a thing happen?

Well, let's see. Super skinny? Check. No breasts? Check. Models dresses? Check.

Andrej Pejic has been in the news a lot lately, what with his topless cover shot being censored, and being one of the first men to model women's clothes, professionally. While I have nothing against a man wearing women's clothing, I feel it's more a statement of how unfeminine designers really want their women to be. If they could just cut off those annoying hips and boobs, well, their couture would look really good. So this is just a natural extension, albeit a non-traditional one.

What is shocking about this list, however, is the incredibly nasty way FHM handled Pejic's inclusion on the list. In a statement that has since been taken down off the site, one writer showed his true bigoted colors by saying:

“Designers are hailing him as the next big thing. We think ‘thing’ is quite accurate... The gender bender has jumped the gun in hoping he might one day be signed as a Victoria's Secret Model (pass the sick bucket).”

Pretty typical neanderthal reaction by a magazine that exists solely to objectify women. Well, FHM, I have to have the "sick bucket" every time I read your magazine for "lads" who probably think date rape is consensual. So I guess we're even.

What do you think about Andrej Pejic's inclusion on this list?
