Mad Men may be on indefinite hiatus (*sob*), but that doesn't mean you have to go completely without the retro glamor of Betty and Joan.
I've pretty much permanently incorporated 50s and 60s-style dresses into my wardrobe, and thank God there are designers like Lilly Pulitzer and Lesley Evers to help me do it!
Check out this gorgeous Tilda dress by Lesley Evers that I'm wearing this spring. I feel like Donna Reed every time I wear it!
Want to see some more Mad Men looks in a range of prices?
Read on!
Want a similar look on a budget? Check out this pretty Ellen Tracy dress (Zappos, $138).
Peggy on Mad Men would totally go to a crazy Greenwich Village party in this Riley Dress (Lesley Evers, $132.50 on sale). Lesley Evers' dresses are on the pricey side for many of you (and rightly so- they're exquisitely made), but keep an eye on her sale page and you'll find more affordable frocks.
I could totally see Betty Draper heading out with the kids for groceries in this Adelson Shift Printed Dobby (Lilly Pulitzer, $278).
On a budget? Check out this Daffodil Centerpiece Dress (ModCloth, $47.99). ModCloth is probably the most affordable retro-style retailer there is, but you have to be quick to get the look you want- Their dresses sell out fast and the Mad Men look is definitely their most popular!
Here's another excellent choice. This Red-y for Inspiration Dress (ModCloth, $47.99) just came back in stock.
Eliza J dresses tend to have a 50s and 60s vibe. I like this Ruffled Shirtdress (Nordstrom, $138).
Finally, Kate Spade's prices are often too high for me, but I definitely draw inspiration from the designs, and I DEFINITELY keep an eye on the sale page! This adorable Jillian dress (Kate Spade, $177) was originally $355!
What do you think about these retro styles?

Disclosure: Lesley Evers provided me with a dress for review, but I've been lusting after her dresses for two years now and have long been a fan!

I've collected some beautiful vintage dresses over time. I love that time period. Men and women took such pride in the way they dressed back then.
"A range of prices", huh? It's easy for someone like you to afford all this stuff, not so much for us common folks. My husband would kill me if I spent 50 clams on a dress. Must be nice to live in such a big, fancy house and get to shop all day long.
Great news, "KateShesGreat3!" I've found plenty of BEAUTIFUL designer dresses at Goodwill for just a few dollars- only I can't exactly send you links on where to find them, since they're... in my closet.
I think plenty of readers of this blog actually CAN afford a $47.99 dress, and some can even afford a $250 dress. They might really appreciate the links and ideas. If you spend your life being bitter about what you don't have, you're not going to be very happy, are you?
I can't afford something for over $100, but the $50 price range is fine. Think about a pair of nice slacks and a blouse. You'll spend $50 on that easily. I love the style from that time period.
I need to check out Steinmart again- Haven't been in years. I am a HUGE TJ Maxx fan, as many of you know, and found an adorable retro-style Calvin Klein dress there a month or two ago. While I was shopping. All day. ;)
My D loves retro clothes. She found some cute things at Belks and Kohls and with sales saved a ton -- which I appreciate!
