Kate Middleton recently sent tongues wagging when she brought it in a camel-colored Reiss dress while meeting with the Obamas. As we told you, people were so taken with the dress (and with Kate), the Reiss site crashed twice in a couple of hours due to throngs of maniacs clamoring to buy the same one. Now it has been revealed what deodorant she wore what bag she was carrying while she chatted it up with Michelle. That small silk clutch is the work of designer Anya Hindmarch.
Reiss? Anya Hindmarch? The less fashion-knowledgeable of the world may be scratching their heads right now as to who the heck these designers are. That's where I come in. Allow me to bestow my knowledge of these labels upon you. And let's check out some of the other goodies they have.
Reiss is a UK-based fashion brand sort of akin to Topshop (if you don't know Topshop, think high-end H&M). The brand features fun, trendy clothes at sort-of affordable prices (by that I mean we're not talking Marc Jacobs prices here).
Anya Hindmarch is a designer -- British also -- who mainly specializes in accessories (bags, shoes), but also features a few other "clothes-like" items, such as coats and kaftans. You can find her stuff on her official website or at department stores like Bloomies and Saks.
Now on to the fun stuff. What other cute Reiss dresses/Anya Hindmarch clutches did I find? Let's take a look.
Nicole Trim Shoulder Dress, $275. You wouldn't exactly wear this dress to meet the Obamas, but it would look great on anyone -- and it has a fantastic name!
Orla Wrap Front Fitted Dress, $160. Think of this as your version of Kate's camel (Shola) dress. Accessorize with a tan, please.
Latina Striped Jersey Dress, $145. Well, it's too late to order this for your Memorial Day BBQ, but perhaps Fourth of July?
Now on to the bags. These are all a little out of our price range, but it's still fun to look.
Marano Shagreen in Old Pink, $1,635! This is a gorgeous bag, but I couldn't, in my wildest dreams, imagine basically paying a month's rent for it. Especially since it probably couldn't hold my iPhone.
Rossum Plaited Leather in Pale Gold, $485. This is the perfect clutch for when you're in Saint-Tropez this summer. You are going, aren't you?
Valorie Glitter Fabric in White, $410. Did somebody say "glitter fabric"? Where do we sign?
Would you shell out for any of these items?
