Many of you expressed disbelief when I wrote about the mother who injects her 8-year-old daughter with Botox and waxes her "upper leg area."
Well now, Good Morning America has an exclusive interview with the mother and her daughter.

Eight-year-old Britney's mom Kerry says she was convinced to give her daughter Botox injections by other moms on the beauty pageant circuit. "We were getting into the pageants," she told ABC reporter Lara Spencer. "I knew she was complaining about her face, having wrinkles, and things like that. When I brought it up to Britney, she was all for it."
GMA obtained photos of Britney grimacing and holding ice packs to her face after the Botox injections. But Britney told the reporter that having her legs waxed was even more painful. When asked why she wanted to have her legs waxed in the first place, she answered, "I just don't think it's ladylike to have hair on your legs."
This story is so disturbing -- I hope it prompts legislators to set an age requirement on Botox injections for cosmetic purposes. I can't believe there isn't one already.
But as a mom who loves beauty and fashion, it also makes me really think about the kinds of things I'm getting for myself, in front of my daughter. If our daughters see US getting Botox, chances are they'll think that they should want it, too -- at least at some point. Do we want our daughters thinking that they need injections in order to be beautiful?
What do you think of this video? How does it make you feel about the messages we may be sending our own daughters about what it takes to be beautiful? And do you think there should be an age limit on cosmetic Botox injections?
