It could be argued that the real show stealer at William and Kate's big wedding last week was Princess Beatrice's hat.
The hat, which looked more like grandma's picture frame had been super-glued onto Beatrice's forehead, has spawned hundreds of Photoshop treatments, posts, and harsh news reports.
Well now, Philip Treacy, the hat's designer, is speaking out.
HollywoodLife.com got the inside scoop after interviewing Treacy at a New York City film screening:
My inspiration was beauty and elegance it’s a 21st century wedding ... No, they didn’t tell me [what they wanted] because I’ve known them for a long time and I wanted them to look gorgeous and beautiful. They trusted me to make them. Gorgeous and beautiful can be open to interpretation ... I thought they looked gorgeous and beautiful. But no one is crying if anyone didn’t.
