Wait. Don't answer that.
I went to a party Saturday night, only to find that another woman had on ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME DRESS.
What to do?
Take a picture, of course!
I was lucky, because the identical dress wearer was Cat Lincoln, one of my real life style icons, whom I've featured on this blog before. (The platinum streak in her jet black hair is too cool for words.)
But there's something very interesting about our similar dresses -- something you might find hard to believe ...
Our dresses were made by two different designers!
And I'm afraid mine is the knock-off!
Cat's dress is by Nine West. She got it last season.
Mine is by Jessica Howard (remember the post from a few days ago?) and I got it THIS season.
Hmmmmmmm. Seems a little too close for comfort, if you ask me.
It's rare to make it very far in life without showing up at an event dressed in the same thing as someone else.
Has this happened to you? And if so, what did you do about it?
I'll be honest. Another woman had on an almost identical outfit to mine at an event several weeks ago. I didn't know her and I was sort of ... annoyed about it. I tried to avoid her all day. It's funny how different I felt about it when the identical dress wearer was someone I know and love!
