I just returned from the Mom 2.0 blog conference in New Orleans, and as usual, many prominent mom bloggers were there, looking absolutely fabulous.
I took photos of a few of my faves and noticed when I uploaded the photos this morning that each woman I photographed was a standout because of one simple thing she did.
Gabrielle Blair, for example (who writes Inspiration Scout here on The Stir), always looks fantastic because rather than trying to look like everyone else, she follows her own whimsical sense of style. She just moved to France with her family and she's got that tres chic look down already, don't you think? I'm loving her stylish pleated skirt, and the saddle oxfords (which she found on Zappos) give the ensemble her own unique touch.

Style maven Susan Wagner is always elegant. The lesson you can learn from her look is that one piece of great jewelry can MAKE an outfit. I love the combination of this simple sheath dress with a standout rhinestone necklace. Gorgeous.
I've known Kristen Chase for four years now and she looks better than ever. Kristen is in great shape, which obviously helps, but what really made her stand out to me this year is her fantastic new bob haircut. She clearly has a stylist who really knew what she was doing, and Kristen's new 'do makes her look so stylish.
Here's a side view. I can't say enough great things about this bob. It was cut in a way that gave her hair tons of volume and "swinginess" and perfectly framed Kristen's face.
Finally, Isabel Kallman of Alphamom looked adorable on the day we took a walking tour of New Orleans. Khaki or denim shorts would have worked fine, but her unexpected choice of hot pink made this a standout look. I'm also loving her old school Tretorns! Choose a burst of color this spring whenever you can -- it can make a huge difference to your outfit.
What do you think of these ladies' looks?
