This cellphone dress is the talk of the town.
Have you ever been walking down the street, wearing a cute dress, talking on the phone, and thought, "Man, I wish I could continue this awesome conversation without this pesky phone? I wish I could just ... talk through my dress"? Well, your prayers have been answered, ladies. I present to you, the M-Dress. (That's Mobile Phone Dress, if you're nasty.)
Described as an "elegant silk jersey dress that is also a functional soft electronics mobile phone," the M-Dress will accept your SIM card and let you make and receive calls -- without your cell phone! Elegant indeed.
The only problem with this trendy little number, in this cell phone user's opinion at least, is that in order to answer your ringing dress, you have to put your hand up to your ear -- and keep it there until your call is done. Never mind the fact that you'll look like a crazy person trying to "do the sprinkler," you'll be uncomfortable. I never talk on the phone without my headphones because it's so cumbersome. You think I can browse the racks at Forever 21 with one hand?! That's crazy talk!
And, now that we're being completely honest about the M-Dress, I quite frankly am also a little freaked about radiation pulsating through me in the form of a solid, jersey dress (another reason I use headphones). I may be a paranoid freak, but no thanks.
So, valiant effort, M-Dress, the price of which has not been released. I applaud you for your style innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, and general weirdness, but I don't think this dress is for me. Or anyone else.
Would you wear the M-Dress?
