How do you feel when you leave the gym? Not emotionally, because, hello, endorphins. But, appearance-wise? Do you feel like you want to run into your ex for a stop and chat, or like you want to run home unscathed because your exercise garb involves a too-big college T-shirt, stained sweats, and mismatched socks?

If you're not in the latter camp, odds are you're somewhere in the middle, because, let's face it, you've got enough going on. Who has time to look cute for the gym? However, despite the fact that turning the treadmill into a catwalk shouldn't be a priority of anyone's, there are some super easy tricks for looking good in workout clothes. So good, in fact, that you can wear them all day and not feel like schlub. Two birds, one stone.

Here, 13 tips for wearing your gym clothes all day. Because not everyone has time for a shower.

Go All Black

One of the first, and perhaps the biggest, rules of thumb for looking good in exercise gear is to choose something all black, or at the very least, dark. Not only is all black always chic, but nothing screams "I'm still in workout clothes!" like hot pink yoga pants.

No need to slip into stilettos after your yoga session, but strapping on a different shoe, such as Uggs (we know, ugh) or a flip-flop if it's warm enough, definitely helps with the gym-to-real-life transition.

Ditch the Ratty Tees

While it's not necessary to drop a quarter of your paycheck for a cool name-brand tank, avoid wearing things you'd be embarrassed being seen in to the gym. It sounds simple enough, but we're so busy we often just grab whatever's closest and run out. Invest in a few pieces -- even if they're plain white V-necks -- that you'd consider wearing whether you worked out or not.

Match, Please

Most of us don't want to run around town in our exercise clothes, because often there's not a lot of rhyme or reason to them. Green shirt, blue pants -- it's all a blur. You'll feel much less pressure to change out of your workout clothes if they match.
