There's definitely a difference between rocking some feathers in your hair and looking like a bird. Too many feathers are pretty ridiculous. Kenley from Project Runway looks cute in them and maybe you even attempted to craft one yourself. I did! This photo is from my wedding this past May. I just took a regular headband, threaded a gold, meshy fabric around it, added flowers wrapped with twist-ties, and plucked in some feathers from a craft shop. That's my sister in the middle and my sweet niece, Tennessee, in her flower girl dress.

Headband from Moth Love
If you don't want to make one yourself, Moth Love on Etsy (pictured) makes them to order in all sizes and with all different feather colors. Starting at $40, you can go demure or have them make one big and bold. Get a simple band of feathers from Sewsephine for just $8.99. Wear with jeans and a t-shirt or buy one now for that holiday party. And if you love hair accessories for the little ones (minus the feather), Loveyofmine sells an adorable dragonfly clip ($2.75) on her Etsy site.

These are great headbands! I found a new store online called Esti Headbands. Go to www.estiheadbands.com for the new fashion trend! Feather headbands - beautifully crafted and worth every cent. I bought a few of them and get complimented all the time! I saw similar ones in Lucky and OK and People magazines. These magazines say that feather headbands are number three of the top ten fashion trends for the fall 2008 and winter 2009. I find Esti Headbands to be plentiful and so beautiful! Check it out! www.estiheadbands.com
