William and Kate fans, rejoice!
The official Royal Wedding website is up as of today. Now we can all get the dirt on the wedding of the century, including the very first details on Kate Middleton's wedding dress!
SQUEEEEEEEEEEE.
The lowdown on Kate's dress hasn't yet been revealed; however, you can find videos of William and Kate's official royal appearances on the site, as well as protocol the couple will follow regarding their wedding, procession, and reception.
Even if you're not all that interested in William and Kate in particular, this site contains a treasure trove of information on the royal family that will entertain both history buffs and Philippa Gregory fans.
It includes virtual tours of Buckingham Palace and links to information on everything from the Westminster Abbey to the British Royal Monarchy's official site. I got totally sucked into reading about the royals and some of the history behind their traditions.
The royal wedding takes place Friday, April 29, so be sure and set your DVRs. I seem to remember Diana and Charles's wedding taking place at some ungodly hour here in the US. Did you get up to see it? I did! I was at my grandparents' house and I vividly remember the excitement of watching it with them.
Will you tune in for William and Kate's wedding?

I watched Charles & Diana 30 years ago. The pre-wedding coverage started before dawn. I won't be watching Will and Kate, though. Maybe I'm old and cranky, but the fairy tale quality of the royals has been destroyed by all the scandals of the last 30 years.
i watched the royal wedding in 1981. oh, it was amazing. and yeah… it was freakishly early, but i was working the night shift that night and stayed after to watch it before i went home at 7. it was unforgettable! oh… and as for the scandals, the last thirty years probably isn't anything compared to the last 200 years! there's always been royal scandals! i'm hoping wills and kate break that mold!
Meg, that is awesome! I can't WAIT to see it. :)
Could she be any cuter? They are a beautiful couple! I will definitely be up at the crack of dawn to watch.
