It's cool to hate Crocs.
In fact, so much Croc hatred is out there that the word 'Crocs' has become synonymous with 'really tacky shoes.'
And as your resident style blogger, I don't like to align myself with anything tacky.
That's why I can't believe I'm telling you this, but here goes:
I love Crocs.
And here's why...
Crocs are the ultimate yard shoe.
You can garden in them, run out and get the paper or the mail in them, wear them in the rain, splash in mud puddles and get them as dirty as you want. There's no shoe out there that's easier to clean off than a Croc- and when they look completely worn out, it's no biggie- They're so cheap that you can easily afford to buy a new pair.
I love them even more, though, for my kids. Each summer, both my children get a brand new pair of Crocs- and they LIVE in them. Suddenly, getting the kids out the door is a breeze- There are no velcro straps, no buckles, no laces to tie. They simply insert their feet into their Crocs and we're out the door.
And again, with kids we have the cleaning issue. Kids get shoes dirty. Crocs are easy to clean off. Crocs are cheap. Any questions?
I wouldn't personally wear Crocs out beyond a quick run to the gas station, but I don't have a problem with people who do. Crocs are awesome. Everyone should have a pair, in my opinion- at least as yard shoes. Especially kids.
In fact, I really don't get why so many moms have a problem with Crocs on kids. ARE YOU CRAZY? These shoes were made for kids! They're PERFECT.
That's my opinion on Crocs, and I'm proud of it.
What's yours?

I LOVE CROCS!! For myself and our son. Esp. swimming because he can get in and out of his little pool with them on and they're dry instantly and he can go run and ride his bike then. Croc winter boots are also amazing.
i have blue and pink and toupe and green and a pair of purlple mary janes
i heart my crocs
I don't like crocs for kids because when I worked at a daycare, crocs were the number one reason for kids getting hurt. The way the toe of the shoe is designed, it causes kids to trip really easily - especially while running. I can see the attraction (no laces, velco, etc) but they simply are dangerous for small children.
I'm going to have to agree with tayanna2. I am a kindergarten teacher, and I can tell you from experience that little kids fall down in them- a lot! My friend's daughter lost her two front teeth at the age of 3 when she fell flat on her face while running in Crocs. For older kids, though, they are great for trips to the beach. I also sent my kids to sleep-away camp in Crocs. They wore them while wading in the creek, and I hosed them off when they returned. I, myself, reach for my Old Navy flip-flops when in need of a rubber shoe.
I love them. I have RA and most shoes don't fit my feet right because of the swelling but crocs are perfect and about the only shoe i can wear. I have a ton of them actually I have on a pair of crocs blitzens on right now which are crocs but with a warm lining for winter.
My kids love them too. The only person who hates them is my hubby who says there's no way he's wearing plastic shoes ever. lol
When i was pregnant and working 2 jobs on my feet back to back meaning 16 hrs a day this was the only shoes that allowed me not to probably lose my feet due to extrememe swelling. I highly doubt anyone wears them for style in fact most people who wear them work long hours on their feet.
I'll pray for you, Lindsay.
I love crocs flip flops they are so comfortable.
