Warm Up to Spring with a Bright, Lightweight Dress Coat

BodenA great way to ease into spring (and yes, I'm speaking from experience) is with a lightweight coat in one of spring's hottest colors.

I bought this Boden Tipped Sixties Coat a few weeks ago as an investment piece. While the color combination is hot this spring, it looks retro enough that it will work as a dress coat for years to come. And now that I've worn it a few times, I'm so glad I made the decision to buy it!

I get compliments on it every time I have it on, and it has been fun to wear a brighter color as the temperatures slowly begin to warm up.

And so I thought I'd share my newfound spring coat love with all of you.

Want to see some of my favorite picks? Read on!

When I was looking at Boden's fabulous coats, I very nearly picked this fantastic Rainyday Duffle (Boden, $148), which comes in several different colors and patterns. SO CUTE.

ModClothBoden's cute coat rival has to be ModCloth. I can't get enough of this In Perfect Accordion Coat (ModCloth, $119.99). It's to die for.

TargetOn a tight budget? Check out this purple trench (Target, $24.98 on sale). It looks a little dowdy on the model, but I bet it would be cute open and without the belt, and I love the color.

TargetOr you could opt for this Merona trench coat (Target, $49.99) in vibrant brambleberry pink.

NordstromPants wearers will go for this gorgeous Anthracite by Muse Ruffle Trench Coat (Nordstrom, $108). It also comes in turquoise.

Do you have a spring coat? Do you want one now?
