The tabloids are astir this morning, buzzing about the white dress that LiLo wore to court yesterday. Made by designer Kimberly Ovitz, Lindsay Lohan paired the dress with a pair of closed-toe black pumps and was ironically not wearing any showy jewelry.
Lohan had her probation revoked at the Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday after allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store. The actress posted a $40,000 bail and is due back in court later this month.
Jeeeez everyone, give the girl a break. This dress is absolutely stunning, and you may need a bit of an eye exam if you think that she didn't look hot. Not everyone can pull off white -- and when you're reportedly trying to give off the innocent vibe, you may as well go big or go home, right?
OK, so was it a little tight? Sure. But when you have a body like Lindsay, a lot of different clothing options may seem a tad bit sexier, simply because, well -- you're hot. If you look at the sleeveless version of the dress here, you can see how beautiful the intricate fabric is. And god only knows that if I lived in 74-degree Los Angeles weather, I'd want to rock a dress like this whenever I could. Sigh, I feel my jealousy increasing by the moment.
So maybe we can throw a few suggestions your way, Linds, on how to make a hot number like this a little more appropriate for your next one-on-one with the judge.
Throw on a blazer: Adding a blazer to your outfit makes things a tad more professional. Would I blazer this dress if I was heading out to cocktails with the girls? Of course not -- but in front of a judge, a blazer reads, I take myself, and this situation, seriously. And, considering that white isn't exactly the most common choice on the courtroom color palette, the blazer would break up your choice and make things a bit more conservative.
Tights: A pair of opaque black tights would do wonders. When a girl's got legs like Lindsay's (long, and unfortunately orange) -- they stick out like a sore thumb in a crowd. Covering up those stilts couldn't hurt, lady.
A change in altitude: I don't hate your pumps, Linds. Actually, I think they are a great, respectable height. But if you're gonna go short on the length, it may be to your advantage to keep as close to the ground as possible. Pairing this dress with a cute set of flats will make the dress itself seem a bit longer and, in turn, a bit more respectable.
What do you think about Lindsay's courtroom look?
