ChanelGood news, girls.

Flats are going to be huge this spring- and thanks to Karl Lagerfeld, they've even entered high fashion territory.

Lagerfeld titillated the fashion world by sending all of his models down the runway in black pointed-toe flats during his Chanel spring 2011 haute couture show, a show traditionally dominated by towering heels and 'inaccessible' high fashion.

He also did away with the elevated runway and brought the models down to eye level.

Fashionistas are abuzz by Lagerfeld's daring pairing of flats with skinny pants, and the good news is that it's easy to get this look for yourself.

Check out my favorite Chanel knockoff flats after the jump- Some are as low as $16.99!

ChanelLagerfeld added classic black flats to just about every color outfit he sent down the runway, so don't be afraid to mix black flats with your pastel skirts and dresses for a more modern look.

Charlotte Russe These metallic purple flats (Charlotte Russe, $19.50),  are a great way to work in the color block trend this spring- Wear them with a bright shirt or dress of a contrasting color and you'll look like a true trendsetter.
