Nicole Kidman: Confesses Botox & Looks Human Again (Photos)
I'm a Nicole Kidman film fan for sure, but I was starting to worry about her. Over the past few years, she started to show up at awards shows looking face-frozen by Botox, sometimes even showing up with overdone collagen lip injections and the after effects of chemical peels gone wrong. I was starting to worry that we were losing our lovely, fair-skinned Nicole, that she would never look the same again. Such a shame too, as she's so beautiful. I can't imagine a whole slew of wrinkles could make much difference on a face like hers.
Well, maybe she's finally knocking it off. After all, admitting you have a problem is the first step, right? And Nicole has finally admitted to using Botox.
Read more about Kidman's Botox confession plus a sneak peek at her cover shoot and interview with Jennifer Aniston in the upcoming February issue of Harper's Bazaar.
According to the Daily Mail, Kidman confessed her Botox use to a German magazine when they asked how she combats wrinkles.
I've tried a lot of things, but apart from working out and a good diet, most things don't help ... I even tried Botox, but I didn't like how my face looked afterward. Now I don't use it anymore -- and I can move my forehead again.
Kidman had denied Botox use in the past, telling Marie Claire in 2007:
To be honest, I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don't smoke. I take care of myself. And I'm very proud to say that.
A leading Botox doctor, Dr. Braun, outed Kidman was an "enthusiastic user" of Botox in 2008, but the actress never fessed up. However, now she has and based on recent photos of the beautiful actress, she's either on the Botox wagon or she got a better doctor.
In Kidman's newest film Rabbit Hole, she plays the grieving mother of a lost child, and in the February issue of Harper's Bazaar, she talks to Jennifer Aniston, her costar in the new upcoming comedy Just Go With It, about marriage, motherhood, and putting down roots in Nashville.
On meeting Keith Urban: "I remember thinking, Oh, my God, if you ever gave me a man like that, I promise I would be completely devoted for the rest of my life. Something that wild. I remembered praying after I met him that I’d meet somebody, if not him, like him."
On motherhood: "I had kids at 25 and 27 [Isabella and Connor, Nicole’s adopted children with first husband Tom Cruise]. I think I have more patience now but less physical energy. It’s a trade-off: In your 20s, you’re bounding around, they’re attached at your hip, and you can just go and do anything. But I’m much more of a homebody now. My roots are deeper."
On moving to Nashville: "I love living a ways away. That’s what I’ve worked for in my career, to not have to live in Los Angeles. So it was fortuitous that Keith happened to live in Tennessee. He brought me down to this place called Leipers Fork, just outside of Nashville, very lush and rural. I just went aaah."
The February issue of Harper's Bazaar hits newsstands January 18.
