Chances are, you're not thinking about the person behind the hands in advertisements like this one.
And maybe that's a good thing.
At least that's the conclusion I drew after seeing an interview with leading hand model Ellen Sirot, which took place two years ago on CBS Sunday Morning.
The video has gone viral recently, and you'll know why when you see it.
Sirot is COMPLETELY OBSESSED with her hands in a way that will totally creep you out.
By the end of the interview, the thought of those hands touching you will be unbearable.
Want to see this now-infamous clip from Sunday Morning?
Okay, okay, here you go ...
Got the skeevies now?
Call me crazy, but I don't think I'd choose this profession.
I'd much rather be able to cook, garden, carry out trash, and do all the other things that come with, well, USING MY HANDS than treat my hands like newborn babies and make lots of money off of them.
I think Ellen Sirot's success with her hands has made her completely obsessive-compulsive about them. I wonder if this obsession will continue when she's too old to model them, or if she'll finally be able to treat them then like plain old appendages.
What do you think of this video? Seriously creepy? Or seriously overhyped?
