'Royal' Blue Dresses at Commoner Prices

Did you like the blue dress that Kate Middleton wore when she and Prince William announced their engagement? You and everybody else; the $600 dress sold out within hours.

Lucky for those of us with less royal budgets, similar dresses are available just about everywhere at every price point. Blue is guaranteed to be a hot color this year, now that Kate Middleton's made such a splash in it, and you'll certainly stand out at the holiday party in a sea of black and red. Plus, that bright shade of blue is one of the few colors that looks good on just about everyone.

So they tell me the 1990s are back, and I certainly remember seeing dresses similar to this one in college. It's a definite statement. And if you're much older than college age? One word: Spanx.
