Faux Fur: A Little Goes a Long Way
Fur's the thing this season, whether you're down with the real or the faux. Fur accents were in abundance on the fall 2010 runways of Michael Kors (pictured above), Chanel, D&G, and Lanvin, among others.
But take heart. You don't have to wear a full-on faux fur vest or coat to get in on the trend. Faux fur accessories, from boots to bags, are a far more affordable way to rock the fur look.
Check out some of my faux fur favorites below ... and tell me in the comments what you think of this look. Fur-ocious? Or fur-gettable?
I could see so many of my cute mom friends in these faux fur boots with pom poms (Old Navy, $39.50). Not only are they fashionable, they're also fun and super casual -- and would look great this winter with even your oldest shirt and skinny jeans.
A great way to get in on the trend is with a faux fur scarf, like this Beast Scarf (Rachel Roy, $49) from one of my favorite designers. Not only will you be devastatingly stylish this year, but a pretty faux fur scarf always looks classy over a coat. How do I know? I've had one for years!
The only way to describe this iMoshion Camden Satchel (Endless, $80)? FIERCE.
Don't know that I could pull off this Faux Fur Pom Pom Beanie Hat (Topshop, $28), but I'll bet some of you could! And it's so cute!
Here's a dressier look at a great price: Faux Fur Ankle Boots (Forever 21, $32.80). And frankly, I wouldn't spend much more than this on fur shoes (scarves and hats are another story) because they will look dated SOON.
This Nine West Faux Fur Cross-Body Clutch (Endless, $49) is a dead ringer for the version seen at Michael Kors' fall 10 runway show. Sweet.
Fur fur everybody!
Will you wear it when the weather gets cold?
