I had an image of Katy Perry walking down the aisle this weekend in a skintight latex wedding dress with a funky colorful design.
But the singer who is constantly making headlines with her outrageous fashion choices went with something a little more traditional -- a dove gray Elie Saab haute couture gown with lace sleeves.
Okay, so a little disappointing, but nonetheless, it sounds gorgeous.
Now, photos haven't been released yet, but I did some fashion detective work and think I may have figured out which dress it was ...
Dove grey. Check. Lace sleeves. Check. Not to mention, this is the only wedding gown in his Autumn/Winter '10-11 collection. There's no way to know for sure until the photos are released, but I'm willing to put money that this is the dress. And if it was, wow! The traditional wedding gown paired with the Indian henna tattoo on her hands would have made for a beautiful and unique East-meets-West look.
That's a lot of tulle for Katy's little frame, but I don't think it'd be possible to look anything but breathtaking in a dress like that.
Of course, one wedding gown just wouldn't cut it. Throughout the festivities, along with the main Elie Saab gown, Katy had a rotating bridal wardrobe that also consisted of dresses from designers Zuhair Murad and Donna Mizani. Ah, to be rich and famous.
What do you think of this wedding dress? Think it suits Katy Perry?
