APART: Style Inspiration

ApartGerman-based retailer APART just launched an online shopping site here in the US.

It bills itself as carrying stylish clothing for adults (as opposed to teens), and with most pieces at or below $150, it's definitely worth checking out.

Even if the price point is over your budget, you'll enjoy looking at the site's outfit ideas. You can easily glean inspiration from APART's photos, then go out and find cheaper versions of the looks you crave.

Case in point: You all know I'm iffy on the faux fur vests, even though every retailer is carrying them this season.

However, I love the idea of wearing one underneath a blazer or topcoat. That hint of faux fur is far more appealing to me than seeing the whole vest.

ApartI love the way they've dressed up a casual striped sweater dress (APART, $98) with a military jacket. This would also work well with a denim jacket or black blazer. GREAT way to hide problem areas without being obvious about it!

ApartYou can't go wrong with a polished blazer and trouser pants. This jacket makes me think of the ones you can always find (hold out for the sales!) at White House Black Market. And I have to admit, I'm salivating over the Pleated Cuffs Button-Up blouse (APART, $129).

ApartYou'll find these dolman-sleeved cardigans everywhere you look this season -- here's a smart way to wear one. A slim-fitting pair of rolled-up jeans, ballerina flats, and a button-down shirt give it a relaxed preppy feel that would look great on any mama.

I'm not a fan of the embellished leggings, but this overall look is a good one. Tunic tops are in all the shops right now and a military coat is a staple wardrobe piece. Pair them with basic black leggings or slim-fitting black jeans or pants, and you've got a great thing going!

What do you think of APART? Does it inspire you?
