Go Goth Nails! Celebrate Halloween in Style

You don't have to go Elvira-style black nails to get some of the benefits of Halloween nail polish this October.

Fall 2010 is awash in colors that would please the mistress of darkness and also manage to avoid crossing the line into full vampy goth.

I went with silvery-gray at this month's pedicure, which seemed just right for fall's peep toes, but also not quite as depressing as black (although I do like black). Here are some others.

Zoya Freja:

It isn't deep and dark, but it's pretty, smoky, and sexy. It's also mysterious, which is perfect for Halloween. It retails for $7.

OPI Obscurity Matte:

The new matte colors offer something a little different. Instead of the high gloss in polishes past, these adhere to the nails and offer color alone. The black is quite dramatic, but not Elvira-like. Part of the Go Goth Mini collection, which retails for $14.95.

OPI Sanguine:

This sexy red is also part of the Go Goth Mini collection. It will take you from Halloween through Christmas with a little sparkle and cheer.

Essie Midnight Cami:

This dark blue polish has a little shimmer and looks a bit like twilight. It's a perfect dark color for vampires. Retails for $8.

Color Paw Glow in the Dark:

It looks like white polish during the day, but light up the night with this ultra-cool polish that retails for $5.99.

Would you try any of these for Halloween?
