Gold is definitely only for those with a flair for the dramatic- but it's the metallic of the season, and there are lots of ways to wear it, whether you're Heidi Klum (seen here at the Roberto Cavalli party at Paris Fashion Week a couple of nights ago), or... uh....
You can go bold with gold, wearing a full or cocktail length gold dress at an upcoming holiday party (perfect!), or you can work it into your wardrobe with a little more subtlety, with a gold-flecked scarf, gold handbag or gold shoes.

Check them out after the jump...
It's not often you'll find a Tory Burch dress at such a great price, but here you go folks. This Tory Burch Aventurine Dress (Neiman Marcus, $130) is on sale, and would make you the standout at a company Christmas party!
Layer the look under a jacket and leggings with this sequin tunic tube (Arden B, $79).
Add a flash of gold to your look with this fabulously-priced Poppie Jones Crossbody Bag (DSW, $19.99).
I know these look a little wild, but they're ripped straight from the Balmain Fall 2010 show (the fashion house paired them with a leopard jacket)- and these bejeweled metallic leggings (Couture Candy, $40) are a much nicer price.
I love the idea of jazzing up stark black with this Printed Sequin Eternity Scarf (Arden B, $29).
Spice up your next date night with these saucy Steve Madden Haylow G sandals (Piperlime, $89).
Make gold a daytime look with this Jessica Simpson Runway Flamenco Framed Satchel (Endless, $88).
Prove to naysayers that gold is the new neutral with these Seychelles Peacock Shoes (Piperlime, $69.99 on sale).
