And this one has me jumping for joy.
Hollywood's hottest are turning out in black-on-black-on-black ensembles, and if you're anything like me, this is a look you can definitely rock yourself!
I mean, don't many of us have closets FILLED with black clothes?
It's such a slimming choice that it's hard for me not to buy black clothing when I'm out shopping! I always gravitate to black clothes first.
Anyway, in honor of this look, I'm going to share with you some of my favorite basic black wardrobe choices.
Read on to see them- and then chime in with your favorite black clothes and accessories in the comments!
You've gotta have a great Little Black Dress, right? My favorite LBD brands are hands down Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren, both of which can always be found on sale at department stores and (especially!) at TJ Maxx and Marshalls. This Calvin Klein dress (Macy's, $128) is a perfect example- Sure it's pricy now, but it's bound to go on sale eventually!
Like black leggings? Yummie Tummie Tricot Shaping Leggings (Yummie Tummie, $76) are without a doubt the best leggings I've ever owned, and are well worth the price. They're like leggings with Spanx built in, and they come in Tricot (which has a sheen) and knit. If you're looking for less expensive leggings, I like the leggings from LOFT, too. Just wait until LOFT has a good sale to buy them.
I always keep a Forever 21 knit skirt or two on hand. They come in all kinds of lengths, and most of them are as inexpensive as this ribbed knit skirt (Forever 21, $14.80).
If you haven't been to Gap in a while, you have GOT to check out their new black pant collection. I have both these perfect trousers (Gap, $59.50) and the slim crop pants (Gap, $49.50) and they are FANTASTIC. They've gone through the wash several times now and still look as good as new! And Gap is putting these pants on sale all the time.
A great black jacket is essential, and worth investing in. I like this City Classic Blazer (LOFT, $128), but I'd advise you to go to the mall for your black jacket and try them on until you find the one that's right for you.
Finally, the black item I'm looking for for this fall/winter is the perfect black bootie. I adore this Colette Black Bootie (Ann Taylor, $228), but alas, it's over my budget. When I find the perfect pair, I'll let you know!
