One of the hottest here-today-gone-tomorrow trends for the fall season is the sans-sleeves look.
I'm talking about the cape and its humbler cousin, the poncho. Both were everywhere in the NYC boutiques I visited a few weeks ago, and I'm dying to buy one of my own.
However, this is one trend I'd strongly urge not spending a fortune on -- it's bound to look dated the minute it goes out of style.
So how can you rock the look for under a hundred bones?
That's where I come in, my friends.
I couldn't resist showing you this amazing Fleece Cape (Spiegel, $49 on sale), which I think I absolutely have to have. It also comes in black, camel, and scarlet, and I can't decide which color I want most.

New York & Company offers a utilitarian all-weather option with this wool-blend hooded cape (New York & Company, $59.99).
I'm crazy about this LnA Pullover Cape (Singer 22, $115), which would look fabulous with jeans.
I'm also really loving this caped raincoat (Max Studio, $78), which also comes in black and is down from $288! WHAT A STEAL!
Subtly implement the cape style into your wardrobe with this Lizette Cape Sweater (Chico's, $129).
Or go dramatic at your next cocktail party with this Rachel Pally Cass cape dress (Shopbop, $233).
