I never thought I would add "Walk the catwalk at NYC's Fashion Week" to my life experiences list, but life is full of surprises, right?
Isabel Kallman took this photo of me yesterday while I was in the process of getting styled for Kelly Ripa's Rumpled to Runway Fashion Show for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. This afternoon at 1 p.m. EST, Isabel, a few other lovely fashion bloggers, and I will be strutting our stuff for the event -- and you can watch it live on the Internet!
Read on to find out who's participating -- and how to watch!
Each blogger was given a challenge to put together an outfit consisting of all-white -- and teal as an "accent" color, since teal is the official color of ovarian cancer awareness. If you tune in, you'll see that all the bloggers really put together looks that were unique to their personalities. We could have all ended up in white sundresses -- instead, each outfit is really different and special in its own way!
Check out the participating bloggers. Do you see any of your favorites?
I have to tell you ... I'M NERVOUS. As you can see, I'm wearing an incredibly high pair of platform heels and a very short "shirt dress." (Yes, I made an executive decision that it was a dress. Get over it.) As Bethany and I were discussing today over cocktails, I really, REALLY don't want to trip and fall on the runway ...
Because then everybody will see my Spanx.
So, do you want to take that risk? Do you? DO YOU? Head over to Kelly Confidential at 1 p.m. EST to see the fashion show, LIVE! And be sure and leave a comment if you watch it!
Disclosure: My participating in the Rumpled to Runway campaign was sponsored by Electrolux who provided me with a $150 stipend to style my look as well as travel arrangements to and accommodations in New York to participate.
