Those of you who bought lace back when I announced it was a hot look for spring/summer will be happy to know it continues to be big this fall.
But you have to be careful with this trend. Lace can make you look hip and refined ...
Or it can make you look like our friend JWoww from Jersey Shore, who appears to be on a lunch break from her job at the local strip club.
Want to know a few good ways to rock the lace look and still keep it ladylike?
First, check out one of the lace trend's newest mutations for fall: the lace legging.
You might think you'd never wear them when you see lace leggings on the racks (I know I did), but you have to admit -- they look pretty cute under a black dress, don't they?
And while you might not be too keen on buying these particular Roberto Cavalli leggings (Bergdorf Goodman, $795), I've found a cute pair you can afford, if you like the look!
For the money, I think your best bet for lace leggings comes from Ella Moss (Bluefly, $43.99). You can find a cheaper pair at Charlotte Russe, but I don't think the lace is half as pretty.
An even easier way to get this look is with lace tights, which you can find just about anywhere. I like these lace print full tights (Express, $29.90).
But you don't have to wear lace on your legs to look hot this fall.
This lace dress (eDressMe, $150) would make you look totally hot at your next special occasion. (Um. Don't wear it with lace tights, mkay?)
And I'm catching a definite Jackie O vibe with this Muse lace-trimmed ponte dress (Lord & Taylor, $148).
You could totally make this lace zip-up blouse (Charlotte Russe, $28) look high fashion with the right accessories.
And I like the idea of layering this ruched lace top (Forever 21, $19.80) underneath a black blazer. Chic!

I know they're a little pricey, but I'm in love with these Betsey Johnson Allison stiletto booties (Lord & Taylor, $129.99 on sale).
I don't know where you'd wear these platform lace boots (DSW, $79.94) or what you'd wear them with, but I do know your husband probably won't complain if you buy them ...
So, ladies -- what do you think of the lace trend? Will you wear it?

I like the leggings and the black lace dress. :) Very pretty.
I love lace, and I hope to see it in colors other than black--although the black is great. Adore the Muse dress.
lol I saw a pair of lace leggings at target and thought....uhhhhhh no! Not my bag of beans. I also could totally see some hoochie mama going out in a pair of them with nothing but a pair of undies under, wearing them like pants lol. Target had a bunch of lace products when I was there this weekend though!
I used to wear those stockings in the late 80's . I bought them from Italy and they lasted forever... Unfortuantely at work this look gets frowned upon unless you wear a black long sleeved top.
Love the Muse lace dress from Lord & Taylor!
I have the 1st dress and love it <3
Like it!
