During the 67th Venice Film Festival in Italy earlier this week, Jessica Alba wore an edgy black Valentino Couture dress while Natalie Portman donned a stunning red Rodarte gown.
Both women were in Venice promoting their most recent films -- Alba at the premiere of her latest film, Machete, and Portman promoting Black Swan. But whose style takes Italy by storm?
Jessica Alba wore a black strapless Valentino Couture dress with a hi-low hemline that extended into a long train in back. She accessorized with black strappy Ferragamo shoes.
Natalie Portman wore her seemingly favorite Rodarte, this time in a rich red gown with an embellished and draping bodice and a flowing layered skirt with a slit. She accessorized with a cream-colored clutch and gold strappy stilettos.
So who did it best?
When I look at Jessica Alba, I think Damn, get a load of those gorgeous gams! So much so, in fact, I can hardly get past them and onto the rise and fall dress. But I'll try. And now that I'm focusing on the dress, I hate to say this but I think the look may be a little (gasp!) young for the pushing-30 Alba. This might be fun on someone a little more, er, fun. And where's the waist? But dang, those legs! Dress talk aside, she's definitely one hot mama.
My immediate reaction to Natalie Portman's dress was GOR-GEE-OUS! However, after staring for a long time, I decided the bodice isn't fitted at its best and hangs a little loose on the thin actress. However, overall this dress is gorgeous on her, especially as you see other photos of your moving about the red carpet. A real head-turner for sure.
So my vote is for Portman this time.
Do all the bodice-fitters live back in Hollywood. What up?

I adore Natalie Portman and I like her dress a lot better. I'm all for the asymmetrical, but Jessica Alba's dress just doesn't look right to me, somehow. Natalie's dress is beautiful though.
