I feel like I'm so sleepy in the morning that I don't always put as much thought into my outfits as I would like. So, what are some stylish, fun outfits for fall that don't take a ton of effort to put together, but still look good? I tend to just pull on skinny jeans, boots or cute flats, a cardigan over a tank, and a scarf. I need to mix it up!

Megan, I've got a few great ideas for you!

Outfit Ideas

One of the simplest looks I love for fall is a pretty tunic over black skinny pants or leggings. Check out this striped dolman tunic (Bebe, $79), Gap's Really Skinny Pants (Gap, $59.50), and a Crinkled Vamp Bootie (Target, $31.99) to keep things fashion forward.

ShopStyleI always stock up on simple jersey knit dresses. They're the easiest way to look put-together, and I often find them on the sale racks at department stores and at discount stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. Wear them bare-legged with boots or with black tights and boots or pretty black shoes. Pictured is a pretty merino roll neck dress (Boden, $108), Hue control top opaque tights (Lori's Shoes, $12.50), and a pair of wedge stretch boots (Boden, $148) that I'm COMPLETELY obsessed with right now.

Another hot look this season is featured in this month's Express catalog, and it's a simple one to pull off. Wear a chunky cardigan with tailored black pants and belt it at the waist.

ShopstyleWant to score the look for yourself? I like this long belted sweater jacket (Express, $79.90), a simple link tank (Gap, $29.50) in black, true straight pants (Gap, $49.50), an inexpensive skinny belt (Gap $19.50), and a low-heeled pair of shoes, like this Chelsea Crew oxford heel (Urban Outfitters, $68).

Those are a few of my favorite quick outfit options. What are yours?
