Lea Michele From 'Glee': Best Dress at 2010 Emmy Awards?

Lea Michele glee Emmy Awards
Lea Michele at Emmy Awards
Lots of gorgeous dresses on the red carpet at the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, but my favorite by far was the one worn by Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on Glee.

Lea Michele wore a lovely strapless navy blue Oscar de la Renta gown with a gorgeous ruched waistline and a ruffled mermaid skirt. Loved the  diamond choker by Lorraine Schwartz, which added some youthful glitz to her look.

"I wanted to do blue — I've done black and green," Michele said, according the Associated Press. "I was ready for blue to be the color, and I love Oscar de la Renta so when I saw this, it was like he read my mind."

Glee was nominated for 19 Emmys, including Best Actress in a Comedy prize for which Lea Michele was nominated. The two Glee wins went to Jane Lynch (love her!) for Best Supporting Actress for her insanely awesome role as cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester and to creator-producer Ryan Murphy for Best Comedy Director.

Thumbs up to the lovely dresses worn by Jane Lynch, Claire Danes, Emily Blunt, Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men's Sally Draper), and Edie Falco. Thumbs down on the dresses of Anna Paquin (oh, horror!) and January Jones (electric blue bleck!). As far as Emmy hair goes, loved Tina Fey's poufy ponytail and Maura Tierney's (ER) post-breast-cancer pixie do. Great to see her back!
