Yesterday, I gave you some great fall boot options for looking all dressed up. Today, I'm devoting a whole post to dressed-down boots, because you're going to see a lot of them this fall and they are FABULOUS.
The look is distressed, utilitarian and even a little... dirty.
Perfect for a mom on the go, right? I mean, FINALLY, a shoe that's supposed to look like you just got back from an extended little league football practice!
This J. Crew model is a perfect example of the look- Wear your distressed boots with jeans and instantly, you look totally on top of the trends!
Want to see some ideas and affordable options?
You know what to do!

First off, here are a few boots I love that give you a great idea of "the look." J. Crew's interpretation of the trend is on the left, Anthropologie's is on the right.
Both sets of boots are a little beyond my own budget, so I'm going to give you some less expensive options to choose from...
This Roxy Desperado Boot (Swell, $79) is an excellent option for the price... It's the epitome of 'distressed!'
I also love this Distressed Harness Boot (Spiegel, $89), which offers a more grown-up version of the look.
These Rebels Sam Suede Boots (Delias, $39.99 on sale) are a true bargain- They were originally $99.50! They also come in blue and black.
Or stop by Target and check out these Merona Kamischel Suede Lug Boots (Target, $39.99). I just might have to go this week and find myself a pair!
Clog boots are a super hot casual trend right now as well. I bought a pair like these Swedish Clog Boots (Hanna Andersson, $120) a few years ago and LOVE them. You'd be hard pressed to find a better price on the look.
You could always opt for a motorcycle boot, which is a more urban, edgy version of the trend. I love these Studded Motorcycle Boots (Charlotte Russe, $50), which also come in brown. Plus, if you buy one pair of boots right now at Charlotte Russe, you get a second pair for $10!
Or get the real thing with these Harley Davidson Phoebe boots (DSW, $99.95). Tattoos will run you extra.
So, which boot do you prefer? Will you wear this trend? You should- I've found you some great deals, and shoes like these never really go out of style!

If I were thin enough, I would totally wear that outfit.
You know what's hot this season? Cowboy BOOTIES. Seriously. I'm going to do a post on ankle boots soon and I'll throw some of the new cowboy booties in as well.
Cowboy boots are always in, though, if they're cool. Of course, I live in Nashville, so I'm biased! :D
Love the boots!! And I absolutey looooove cowboy boots!
I really like the top three pair. I plan to invest in a pair of boots this fall, I think.
I like a ton of the boots! I actually used to have pair of cowboy booties and have ben looking for a pair since those wore out and have never been able to find one that was worth it. Maybe now I will be able to find a pair since they are coming back in style.
Definitely buy yourself a pair this year, while they're in style!
That's one of my secrets- When a classic look becomes a trend (like the trench coat, for example), be sure and buy it- Everyone will be making them that year, you'll find it at an awesome price, and you can wear it for years to come!
Aha! This explains why all of my 18-22 year old college students keep saying "cool boots" as I slink around in my 20? 30? year old scuffed brown motorcycle square-toe boots that I bought at a THRIFT STORE in 1994 for $40. Finally I'm in style, and I wasn't even trying!
Love the boots from both your posts. My problem is that I have large calfs and can't get boots to zip up. I have a hard time finding boots that fit. Could you do a post with some boots for those of us that have this problem?
Coming up, Natasha! I get that question from readers all the time. :)
