Too bad this little girl is in the way...True Blood costars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer got hitched over the weekend during a private ceremony in Malibu, California. It seems that with all the fake sex they have on the show, they thought hey, might as well do it in real life, too.
More and more details have come out about the couple's wedding and what the bride wore on her big day, with some fuzzy photos from the paparazzi to boot.
The couple exchanged vows at sunset under a white tent at a romantic beachside villa. Moyer and his friends jumped into the Pacific Ocean during the reception to celebrate (and because it was extremely hot that day).
As for the bride's look, Paquin opted for a white halterneck three-quarter-length gown, inspired by Marilyn Monroe. No one seems to know who the designer is yet. She broke up the monochromatic white with black platform heels. Her blonde hair was in a pretty updo. Moyer wore a dark suit.
Paquin also wore a blinged-out 50-carat diamond necklace by celebrity jeweler Neil Lane. She also chose a pair of diamond studs for her earrings, also from Lane. “She wanted something with a vintage-inspired, romantic vibe,” says Lane, according to People.com. You can see from the fuzzy photos that the necklace was one of the main wow-factors for her bridal style.
True Blood co-stars Sam Trammell, Ryan Kwanten, Rutina Wesley, and Carrie Preston (along with husband Michael Emerson ... you know, Ben from Lost) watched the couple exchange their vows. The creator of the show, Alan Ball, was there as well, and probably thought the newlyweds owed him quite a bit, as they first met on set. Doesn't seem like Alex Skarsgard was there ... you think on Moyer's request? Just kidding. Sort of. If it were me, I'd invite him to the honeymoon.
After the wedding, Paquin was seen showing off her gorgeous platinum wedding band, designed by Cathy Waterman.
Seems like there was nothing vampire-y about Paquin's wedding look, as she wasn't naked and dripping with blood or anything like that. Fans of the Rolling Stone cover were most likely severely disappointed. But I thought she looked vintage, classy, and elegant, and it looks like it would've been a fun wedding to go to. Congrats to the happy couple -- we'll see you and Skarsgard at the Emmys this Sunday!
Do you like Paquin's wedding look (what you can see of it)? What do you think of her black pumps?
